My Many Imperfections: Day 10 Final Day

My Many Imperfections:  Day 10
Sinner in need of Redemption

Alas, the last day has finally arrived!  It's been an interesting journey writing these blog posts!  I've had a lot of great feedback from women that are happy to have me listing my many imperfections on social media and a lot of women who could totally relate to what I was posting... which made me feel better too!

Recently, I've been really starving for some genuineness and vulnerability!  I've had some great conversations with wonderful women and we all feel the same!  Why are we competing?  Why are we putting our best face out there and not being transparent with each other?  Why is it difficult to have relationships that are not about comparisons or "one-upping" the other person... even if in an ever-so subtle manner?

I hope that through these posts, and through the conversations we've had these 10 days, that you can begin to see yourself as God sees you and you be confident enough in that to stop comparing and feeling bad about yourself.  You can strive to be better, but in a Christ-seeking way... not in a "my house is cleaner than her house" way.

We are all so far from perfect.  I am a pastor's wife, but it AIN'T perfect over here, people!  I fail each and every day!  We had a beloved guy say to us once... "I'm so glad to see your family up close and personal... I just sort of pictured you all as the VanTrap family, but you're so much more normal than that!"  Ha!  I'm happy he was there so he could see real life Robertsons!

Real life Robertsons are real people.  We fall short of deserving Christ's love each and every day, but the beautiful thing is that we don't have to earn it!  Friends, God loves you and He wants to redeem you from your imperfections and inability to earn your way to Glory.  Without Christ, I can do nothing!  I can conquer nothing!  But with Christ, I am redeemed and covered with His perfection!  I still do/will mess up all the time, but His mercies are new every morning!

Lamentations 3:22-23

Thanks for going on this short journey with me.  Peace y'all.
